It may be an Avelling Barford, I used one for a while while my backhoe was being repaired.

Dirt cheap stuff on marktplace goes almost immediately.........coupla weeks ago there was a BHB/JD late model crane ....ad was...we dont know what it is ,but it goes OK .....the thing must have sold in 60 seconds after the listing appeared,while I was reading the ad.

referes to 10 to 12 ton roller
depending if the drum wheels were ballasted with wet sand etc
many moons ago we would B transporting these jiggers B tween job sites

When I saw Vintage Roller ,I thought it was a Rolls Royce ........some here may recall the late Col McLeod had two big vintage Rolls Royce tourers in his truck yard at Rocklea for years ......he had traded them on an old truck he had ,and wanted something like $50k each for them back in the 60s .

The weekest part of the rollers is the fron yoke
If you winch or tow the roller in heavt going can breake the main steering pivit shaft
on a tilt tray we winch them on backwards as they have no traction steel on steel

I've operated some of these rollers and they were fitted with a 4 cylinder Perkins, if that's the case here it may be a cheap engine for someone.
I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.
