Cranvel Loaders

After the interesting discussion on Cranvel Cranes,
has anyone had any experience with Cranvel Front End
Loaders as fitted to Fordson and Chamberlain Tractors.

i had one in the early 90s on the front of a fordson major,was well used (i bought the tractor from a sawmill) it had no problems only drawback from memory was the bucket was small maybe 4ft wide?

Purchased a Cranvel Loader last week, it is powered by a
Fordson (1957 model) and is fitted with about a 4ft wide
bucket, later models as fitted to the Power Major had a 5ft wide bucket as far as I know.
Needs some work doing on it and paint, will know more when I get it home.

These Lovely superloaders were all the go,, Faster than a Cranvel on the fordson.. And a little friendlier on the thumbs.. Only needed 1 tin of aerostart to start them..One thing i dont miss today..Some blokes would laugh if you told them you use to load semi tippers with these. The next step up was the Hough 30..

Was the cable loader a Cranvel on the fordson?? Or were they a Moore ???
