HTM, fire it up with out the exhaust manifold on you should be able to put your hand near the exhaust ports and see if they are all the same temperature. With the exhaust manifold on just put your hand on it and the same thing, feel if all the ports are getting hot.
Oil drips out of these things everywhere, even if you do spend some money on a rebuild, so that is no indication of condition.
If one of the ports is cold it will more than likely only be an injector.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationAll the grit and dirt in the air box, is that normal for a high milage engine in these things.
Where did you get the tool for setting the injectors Bigcam.
Is this what we need??, but do we need to know what injectors are in there

HTM, the port that is oily is probably the one that isn't firing.
The little tool for setting the injectors is specific to the size of the injector as Swishy says, so if you look at the little button on the injector it'll have N45 or N50 or C 50 or something like that.
I got the tool off Macquarrie's but Cutting Edge's would probably have them too.
The motor in my Dodge, which is the one I put a kit in, uses more oil than the one in my Reo, but the one in the Reo gets a bit more work because it gets hooked up to a trailer occasionally. But oil comes out the exhaust in the Dodge, it is just a sign it needs a bit of a flogging with some weight on it.

Is it worth having injector done up or should we just set them up to height spec's.

there B 2 positions of concern
ifn the injector iz stuk closed meanz no fire n heat from th@ cylinder
Ifn te injector iz stuk open Run do not walk Run coz the injector iz squirtn full time n over revin the motor un controlled by the govonor
only way is to cut off air to the beast
cut n off fuel can work but also the screemer haz ways n means to then go live on the oil in sump
LOL

Had another look see at the red Dodge, yes it is not running on front left cylinder. Much colder on this exhaust port. We pulled the rocker covers, the injector is going up and down and the valves have clearance when on base circle
Cracked both supply and return injector lines and had fuel flow no problems.
We have taken injectors from the white truck and are going to fit these into the red truck, as the white truck ran fine just hard to start and loved oil.
these are C50 and we have got hold of a 1.460" injector tool.

With the rocker covers off its very clean in the top of the engine which supports the story the heads were done up on it.
And the little injector tool we got hold of
Any tricks to setting up the rack on it when we replace the injectors
We will have the rubber mat ready handy for the intake if things run away on us
