Everything is fixable even if it ain't broken!

Retreads v Remoulds? The retread is a tyre with a new tread area vulcanised where the old tread was worn off. Remould is a tyre with a new tread plus a cover over the original sidewall. Both tyres are prone to casing failure if the casing has been damaged at some point. The structure of the tyre casing can not be visually inspected for damage due to impact or running under pressure. Remoulds cover the original sidewall so you can not tell the manufacturer or date of manufacture of the original tyre as all ID markings are buffed off. I personally would like to know what tyre brand has been retreaded and the age of the casing before it goes on a vehicle of mine. Michelin, Bridgestone, Toyo or a WHOWANGDONG. What would you prefer. Just my opinion
