Wanted info on Cummins NTC335 was created by ChainDrive
I have aquired a Cummins NTC335 in pieces. Originally came from a 1970 Diamond Reo. I am after information regarding the horsepower and parts availability for these engines. Engine plate dates the block to 1970. Would it have been an original fitment to the Diamond Rio? The gearbox fitted to it is an Allison.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for that Paul. The Diamond Reo is ex army. I did not know if the motor was original. Anyone know what HP they produce and the Cummins reliability back then.

chaindrive, they're 335 HP.& were (& still are) a reliable Motor, Parts availability is still good.
the Army were still using those trucks up until the early/mid '90s when they were replaced with IH S Lines. Which have all been sold through Graysonline over the last 12-18 months..
