John.K., are you saying that rather than push the air out with the brake pedal, you pump fluid in through the bleeder and the air will bubble back out?.... or have I got your idea all cock a hoop????

I remember we thought we had all the air out, no more bubbles, but no brakes either! We had to get the fluid moving fast to flush the bubbles out of the high spots (that was the theory, anyway). If we pumped really fast on the brake pedal, we could get air out that would not come out otherwise.
Never got the chance to try a proper power bleeder on it.

Theres a lot of opinions on brake bleeding. The old guy next door flushed his brakes with kerosene. My old mate Bruce borrowed a pressure bleeder with dark brown fluid in it(swamp water, cold tea, cough medicine?Who knows.)then complained for a year that his brakes didnt work.Try bleeding the brakes on a army Acco .No foot pedal, just uses air to push the master cyl.Anyhoo,as I used to say to customers"You do it your way, then bring it round and Ill fix it properly."Going up for machinery inspection sorts em out.
