Rescued from scrapyard 9 months ago just waiting for warm weather to sandblast and paint tray

nice find
with the 5 speed mack box
twaz a big step BTeen the cogs with rev drop
as they say ...pull lever in to neutral ... roll a cigarete n then grab the nex gear

the early V: had a clutch brake to kill the revs Between them cogs
but many broke the clutch brake doodadd by floor n the clutch @ the rong time
If U got engine brake U can use th@ to kill revs to grab them thar cogz

Dunno Swishman, as a rule I only use 5 gears out of the 12 behind a Thermodyne
Maybe 6 with 2 trailers and getting the tons up there, but whatta do I know :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Note what you say Swishy is correct but they had the torque to pull away at 1200 RPM in the next gear

That Flintstone looks great Cliffo, and a hell of a step up from the perforated cab I saw at David's before he rebuilt it.
