Another Bedford was created by Colin HD
Hello,
Thanks for letting me join the forum.
Recently purchased a 1969 Bedford and looking to fix it up, not a total restoration.
This is my first ‘big truck’ project, although not new to playing with cars.

Hope to post pics/descriptions of my progress and sure I’ll have heaps of questions along the way.

First pics are from the EvilBay listing in March, but I’ve been busy with work commitments and have only just got around to starting the work.

Second are up to date.

Will be making a few changes, but nothing drastic, no big blower engines or roof chops.
Wish me luck

Colin

Your pics are OK..I can see its a J3 in pale blue......If its a 69 ,its going to have a 300 petrol.....these were a good motor in their day......and not too thirsty as petrol motors go.

Welcome and good luck Colin HD.

I’ve recently done a similar thing with and Aussie assembled 65 F250 being my first real project.

As for adding images, I do it all on my phone. I simply scroll to the bottom of the part where I wrote the post and there is the word ‘attachment’. I press that, select the photos from my phones library and they upload. After that you need to insert the photos. You can do them individually or go ‘insert’ all and they all go in at once. Hope that helps. I could click on the thumbnail photos down at the bottom of your post and could see the images. Not sure what the go is there.

Enjoy the Bedford.

John

Is it a J3. It looks like a J1/J2 with the singles but maybe they just replaced the duals. To my mind much more useful for a club vehicle than a heavier J3 on duals.

Must admit, I thought it is a J1.
Mainly because of the single rears.

You have added four pictures, inserted them and then for some reason deleted them which was causing the 'do not have permission' message.

You only have three images uploaded which you can see in your original post so if there is a fourth picture you will need to uploaod/attach it again.

Has J1 wheels on the front. The makers plate will be on the passenger seat box. Around this time they thought everyone had worked out their codes so changed them; from TJ to TC series.
So first letter will be C, 2nd letter is engine (F for 300), 3rd letter for GVM, 4th letter for wheelbase, 5th for gearbox & diff.
Put up what you find and all will be revealed.
Nice project
