Hi everyone,

I do not no much about international trucks

I scored myself a International truck C1800 for $3,000 with only minor rust in the drivers side door

Paint is a bit faded, but good for its age and just afew minor things

I has all its badges

345 v8 petrol engine
5 speed Hi/Lo range
8tonne
20ft tray

How much hp does the v8 have ?
345 would that be a 5.7litre ?

I take it C = c series, what does 1800 mean ?

Are parts for these easy to come by ?

Any information would be much appreciated

The 345 V8 was rated at 170hp and is a good engine but gets through petrol when working hard. Is your truck a bonnetted or cab-over type?

parts are readily available but good parts are getting scarce. Doors are readily available as are most other parts through wreckers or privately.
Dodge AT4/D5N parts are interchangeable with the Inter C and D series so you will always be able to find the bits you need.
Look at these 2 ebay items - 330525037971 and 250813029601. Get yourself the C1800 equivalents of these 2 - it tells you exactly what the truck can do with different engines, wheel/tyre sizes, etc. Lots of good info in these 2 documents alone.

66 dodge: I am wrecking a 1970 C1800 that had a Cummins C-160 diesel in it.
I have a fair few bits left over.

Also, I wreck Acco's and dodges.

The second number in the C line trucks designated what you can carry on it. IE: C1800-8 Tonnes.

Nice. I have heaps of bonnetted spares. Steering box, springs, cab, guards, bonnet, grille, front and rear axles, (Mine was full air braked on rear and air over Hydraulic on front), and lots of other parts.
