Sorry Jarrod , How does one go about getting a boiler safety certificate these days out of interest sake..

I differs from state to state.

Here in Victoria need to get a boiler inspector to inspect the boiler to clear it to being ok to steam. As well as perform any checks etc that he requires such as pumping the engine up to a certain test pressure to ensure it is ok.

Then the boiler should be registered with WorkSafe. Which is just a simple fill in a form and send it off. (Obvouisly with a small payment ::))

I believe that most states in Australia are very similar. What I believe does change alot is the different acceptable methods of repair in each state. However at the end of the day the best person to talk to is your local boiler inspector. As they would be aware of what standards have to be done as well as what they would be looking for in a boiler etc.
