Hi Rusty,
You got sprung bringing it in did you? You should have done it when she's asleep or watching her favorite TV show. Then you go in to tell her and she won't want to be interrupted so you don't say anything. Then by the time she sees it you can claim "it's been there for months and I tried to tell you but you didn't want to be interrupted and was going to ask me about it later! "
Warning this didn't work with my boss, you may be luckier!
Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!
