WANTED FOR WHITE 9000 was created by
Good evening all
I am looking for some bits and pieces for my 1976
WHITE 9000 8V71N DETROIT POWERED truck . Firstly a passenger side door catch and locking mechanism - interior sun-visors and centre mounting bracket - any other useful cab bits and pieces and most importantly another DONALDSON AIR CLEANER TO MATCH THE BLOODY HUGE ONE FITTED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE BODY . This air cleaner is much bigger than any others used for inline 671N Detroits ect . The problem being that the truck reacts violently when any right hand bend is attacked at full noise with a constant tendancy to lay over to the left especially when " hooning " As a result of a poor catch on the passenger side door there is a decided lack of passengers to pick from these days . Any help would be greatly appreciated , best wishes , Clarke .

AAAARRRRRHHHHHHHHH i would of thought that the buggy was the culprit for the body roll saga ;D ...did you have that little rocket at murray bridge rally... have you got a weak or broken spring on your old 9000, or is the cab loose on the oppisite side , the cross member that runs across tha chassis up high behind the engine ,always cracks up-that could allow some chassis movement. have you cheched out some western star cabs in wrecking yards i dont think things changed to much for a long time.
she is a good looking jigger that you have there , do you have some more pics , have you still got the 671 out of it..

i am guessing that you are looking for a air cleaner the same as what you have.

i am a bit of a diamond T / reo /white-- intho-- entha - inthooz---(NUT) i find them a great old breed ;D ;D ;D

No ol' mate the White is very sound - nothing broken . It is still factory original that is why we bought her - 8v71n @ 318 hp . 15 speed roadranger , diffs sqhd @ 4.44 on velvet ride suspension , gross @ 38.50 tonnes and YES , I really would like to get another air cleaner the same size as the one that is fitted to the passenger side .
Did not get to the last Highwheeler Rally , don't drive the Black Motor Buggy very much even though it is on club plates - it is just so original and tooooooo good to use - still has the original B F GOODRICH TYRES fitted and I doubt if it has done more than 1000 miles . Cheers for now , regards Clarke .

I have a Wite 9000 cabin but unfortunately has no doors and lots of parts missing. The wrap around dash appears to be in good nik.there are a few things I need off it and you are welcome to have the rest.I also know where there is another truk.It is a tipper and would be a late 60,s as it has a straight dash and a 6.71 GM in it.The chassis of mine is there complete with diffs but no moter and gearbox Regards Owen
