Unusual Atkinson for someone. No connection.

I think that would be an ex DCA fire tender. A great project for somebody.

Can anyone make out the Cummins engine tag in the ad link?
I read it as NT something, made in the U.K.

Yep. Ex DCA Ultra Large Water Tender ...... NTC 335 Cummins (de-rated), coupled to an Allison auto, 6 wheel drive, running Kirkstall axles. Prince of Darkness electrics too. Spent a fair bit of time working on these at Adelaide and Darwin Airports in the early 70's,
There is also one running around in Central Australia that is ex DCA too.

Found a couple of pics.

I rescued the cab from one of these from a wrecker, mainly to save the wind screens. Sold it to a Brisbane collector so the screens will be available for this one.

Note these were built with the two piece windscreen not four piece setup normally used on export versions of the Preston cab..

Isn't the one in the ad supposed to have one of the fabled "Cummings" engines in it? Probably adds to the value.
