Whats a TL 11 motor, I have heard of a TL 12 that they used in the Marathons
Im pretty sure a the TL12 got rebadged as a DAF motor and is still in production today but dont hold me to that

Hi Paul,
The TL11 engine was the turbo successor to the 680 Power Plus. They were fitted to the '80s Leyland Tiger buses and some trucks. This one is in a Tiger motor home.

Thanks for that. They were basically un updated 680, so most should be the same. Last century, I used to run a workshop where we had a fleet of Tigers, but the depot was closed down and the fleet changed to Mercs in the '90s. Lost contact with all the old crew and don't know what happened to the manuals.

When the turbo 680 first came out it was called the 690. Very confusing since AEC already had a 690.
Think Leyland ran out of ideas, the 400 scored a turbo and became the 410 etc.
There were a hell of a lot of engines and then they added the V8 Perk. not to mention the fixed head 500 or the V8 AEC.
