I have decided to sell my Mack Midliner. Finally facing reality that it is a set up far beyond what I am wanting at this stage in life. I will swap or trade on a pre-1994 tilt tray truck or $14,000 for the whole outfit, crane, tray and truck.
1985 Mack Midliner 265hp, 10 speed shift. Cab recently repainted in good condition. Interior needs a clean up and all it needs to get on the road is rewiring - no computers or fancy electronics. Excellent tyres, brakes. Power take-off and hydraulic pump. A lot spent on the brake and gear shift air systems. I have only driven this on the road about 50km since buying to make my perfect outfit but it ran beautifully. The ride is smooth European not rough American.
6 metre beaver tail tray, very straight and rust free with ramps OR very straight 5 metre flat standard steel tray (the one the crane is sitting on).
Atlas crane , made in UK, self contained with legs and hydraulic tank ready to drop straight on to any truck. 5 ton at 2 metres with long reach 1.3 ton at 6.5 metres. Very low hours in good condition Full workshop and parts manual for the crane.
Situated Brisbane. As is where is may be able to help with loading. You could have this outfit assembled in a few days plus the wiring.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Lang, I wish I had a use for Froggie-Dog. He would be a very useful beast, and as a salesman would say "It's a lot of truck for the money."

Yes it is getting to the stage where you are buying the crane and two trays - sell one off - and getting the truck for free. No doubt someone will come along.
I have had 3 offers for the beavertail but am not going to start parting the package out.

Everyone wants a different configuration. So I have split the unit.
Truck with good 6m flat steel tray $5,000
6 m Beavertail tray with ramps $3,000
5 ton Atlas crane $2,500
