I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

That lineup looks pretty impressive. He will be able to drive real road trains in a few years.
When I was a little older than him my car/truck/bulldozer whichever I wanted it to be at the time, was a short piece of 4x2 timber with the front cut off crosswise at about 45 degrees and a piece of 2x1 nailed across it for the cab/handle. No wheels, no paint, nothing but a piece of wood with a smaller piece across it. It did have one great advantage over his:- I could pick it up and take it with me to stop the other kids stealing it.
