555 Cummins - O.K., thanks for the great pics. These are manifolds off the turbocharged Industrial, and Marine, 3306, and it's earlier version, the D333C engine .. which are fitted with the rear-mount turbocharger.
The 3306 was released as the D333C in 1967, but the name was changed to the 3306 in 1972.
Same engine, just different nomenclature, and a few slight engineering changes.
The manifolds as they are sitting on the transmission jack, are actually upside down.
The part number shown is 7L 382 (7L0382 in the Cat system) and the second section should be 6L8562.
Together, these make up a "manifold group", with the P/N of 7L0384.
7L0384 manifold fits only the following engines ..
S/No (Industrial engine) .. 23C0001 - 23C0739
S/No (Industrial engine) .. 66D0001 - 66D8890
S/No (Marine engine) ...... 67D0001 - 67D1102
I haven't got an immediate use for them, and they will cost me $80 in freight, because they weigh 60kgs in total. If they were for a crawler tractor engine, I'd take them, because I have mates with crawler tractors. However, because they only fit a fairly narrow range of Industrial and Marine engines, and these engines don't go through manifolds like dozers do, I can't imagine where I could place them .. so I'll have to give them a miss.
Thanks, anyway, for your trouble .. I'd suggest you put them up on eBay, or ring up Expressway Spares, and tell them what you have, and give them those numbers, and they will probably pay you better than scrap prices for them.
Cheers - Ron.
