T54 fuller was created by Bono
Hi All,

As you might know my gear box looks to have problems with 3rd and 4th gear. Can the gears and busshings be sourced? I'd like to be able to rebuild it so i knpw its right, rather than just finding another one with potentially the same problems. Or should i go a different one altogether.

ANy advice would be appreciated.

Hey Kenny,

Your not wrong, but even finding em to pay for can be hard

Its a 5 speed, 2 spd diff. I'm no expert, would the box be compatible?

You would be better off with the 5 speed Bono, Podge might be able to help you re a T54.

Thanks Kenny and Pete

trying to keep the set up the same, the kiss principle i suppose, but it may be that another box will go in without much hassle.

I did ask Podge via im but i might not have done it right. so i posted this to find out what was around an get out of this jam.

Guys,

Got the box out last night. From the pics, man i wish i had the shed space
and cover some of you guys have, froze my butt off. I have twin tanks
so theres a cross member where hose joins each tank. I note another thread where the hose got knocked and spilled out all the diesel. The hose sits rather low so i might disconnect it and run off the 1 tank, not to mention its going to be a real problem getting th box back in with the cross member there. Thinking of cleaning the tank out and changing to storage unit. Then again, maybe buy a unit to suit...

Bono,

Hows your clutch look ?..may aswell check it out while you have the box out.
If your pulling the gearbox to bits use the input shaft to center your clutch if you do drop it out to check it. If you remember to do this before the box goes back together it will save you some swearing later. ;D

with the shaft. Take it apart tonight i hope, Thtere was a bit of pinging in the bottom of the bucket when the oil drained - not good, i'll have the kit
