Thanks for your thought ianoz, still kicking, turned 80 last month so have an excuse to do anything and get away with it, always read the forum though.

Some of the old Inter D50's played a fair part in the early days, they were "big Iron" in the day, forerunner of the KB8 and 190, were used extensively on the Alice-Birdum road during the war.

Even the old Blitz's did their bit to help get guys going, my brother drove some of these down from the Darwin auctions, pick the best one and haul 3 more, no problem for parts!!

The old Inter KS5's helped a lot of guys to get started as well.

Another old Ford from the disposal in Darwin, as was said, many started with not much more than perseverance and luck.

This used to be a great magazine when Bart Rawson was the editor, I subscribed to it for ten years, it was the best with lots of good stories in it, then he put this picture on the cover and the readers all whined because there wasn't a BIG TRUCK on the cover, had to apologise in the next edition, I thought it was good to get kids involved but what do I know, he left and the Magazine went down the shute, all ad's now, shame. probably sue me for putting these pictures on
