Hi Swishy

You asked for it, and I see BigCam is allowed to post about 5 million of his best photos, so here are a some of mine from across the ditch. Firstly a line-up of Inters with one Mack to keep you happy (my one is second from right, named "Grandad's Mobility Scooter").

and one of the 2 old bastards at Fluidex, Vic and Jacko, together 140 years old, been driving for over 100 years and driven over 15,000,000 kilometres.

and lastly (for now) a few of our tankers on the inter-island ferry on the way to the South Island to get a few more thousand litres of wine.

and three more before BigCam gets going again.....................

Old Basil is older than anyone I know, much older than me (and I'm 70) and he's still driving. Up until this year he drove a G88 Volvo, but this year he got this Mitsi to replace it so here are a few photos of Basil and his "new" truck

Just one more.........something that very few people in the world have have ever seen, a 4-cylinder Commer Knocker, the Commer TS4. This is the only one in the world that is a runner, it is in New Zealand in perfect working order and I have heard it running. It is now being fitted (possibly already has been) fitted into the owner's ex-trolley bus to replace the TS3 that he had previously fitted; the bus is now used as a house bus.

Hi Swishy

Number of cylinders 4
Displacement 287 cu in
Performance 200 hp @ 2,600 rpm
Torque 465 ft lb.'s @ 1,800 rpm

Same size pistons as TS3

I very highly recommend you read the fascinating story of the TS4 here

www.commer.org.nz/Commer_Connections/TS4Mtr.html

in Howard Pettigrew's "Commer Connections". It REALLY is worth the trouble of clicking on this link and reading the story through.

Cheers, Vic

We`ve had a bit of interest in C1800 Inters and Road Trains of late. This is one of Peter Murrays pics of NQRF`s C1800 dragging a Road Train. All I can say is I`m glad I wasn`t following it.
