Thanks for the pics and the info link. I own 2 A-Cars also, a 1967 abd a 1969., love them... the 67 still has the 5+4 twenty speed and 54rears.

Would love to see pics, Mr Acar. If you join a free photo-hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr, you can upload photos to that. To post here, you just have to grab the photo's 'address' and put it between this - [img][/img].

Here's a thread that will help. Read through all the way as there's some shortcuts posted further down:

Gday Dave

Swishy has gone to bed I think.
Sorry mate..
This pic wont enlarge , it is only 160 pixels wide.
Would look like a bad mosaic..after a gallon of Bundy.
The original would be needed.

Cheers
RS :)

Mr Autocar

G'day from New Zealand. I'm afraid I can't help you with Loadstar parts either although we had heaps of them here at one time. However here are a couple of photos of an Autocar for you that is still working regularly in NZ as a water tanker on road work; it often tows a 3-axle tipping trailer around as well.

Cheers

Hi Swishy, no there were never many Autocars here, but lots of Pacifics, more than anywhere in the world I think, apart from Canada/USA. One concrete company bought a handful of this model a while ago to be used as agitator trucks, but they weren't very successful because of the way they were set up. This tanker is actually one of them that has been converted back.
