i knew a old bloke 10 years ago that was doing melbourne to Cairns runs in a old bedford TK ..and i mean a early 60s Tk ,the cab had been mig welded as it was badly rusted he fitted it with a 308 on gas he was a big fella i always wondered how he used the "parcel shelf" behind the seats as a sleeper . . then again my old petrol powered acco i had at the time wasnt much better

Do you consider the emergency stopping lane part or the grass verge of the road? I saw 2 bedfords parked like that on the way home yesterday but it was too dark to get a picture ( one TK and a J).

I also saw a couple of TK's roaming around still earning heir keep (it woulds be unkind to say still making their first delivery so I won't )

However I didn't have a camera with me so no pictures. >
