I’ve heard a similar story from my dad when he was a supervisor at a large company. A fitter used to wheel his tools out in a wheelbarrow every Friday afternoon past the watchman. They ended up working out that he was stealing a wheelbarrow every Friday

Yep, heard that one before, but the version I heard was at Harland & Wolf, the Irish ship builders.I’ve heard a similar story from my dad when he was a supervisor at a large company.
