I can remember when flow through ventilation was the big thing, now it appears to be flow through plumbing . . .

I suppose he always wondered why they put red lines beside fire hydrants.

Local servo I used to work at on weekends had a fire in the back yard and I was called to assist police/fire brigade with access.

Raced up there in my '60 model Chev and drove straight over one of those hoses - much to the horror of the brigade crew! Fortunately the hose was still flat as they were rolling it out and prior to the water being turned on.

Oops. 
 

So THAT's why it was the only vacant parking space in the area!
