Gday fellas,
Looking at an 84 SAR kebworth here, it's vin is 407073
The build sticker says 300 Cummins, 9 speed, etc- but it's now a redhead with 18 speed and so on.
I have this feeling it may have been one of Roccisano's, only because it seems to suit what they had? And the firewall is red too. Or Finemores perhaps?
The only pics I can find of either Finemores or Roccisano's are red, but with lowline bunks- this truck has a high rise bunk- then again it could be like grandad's axe eh...
Can anyone shed any light on this old girl?
Cheers
Rich

What's it say on the paint code decal on the firewall.... Red/white/black .... Or red/black ... Might help narrow it down.... Certainly sounds like a fleet spec

I'd have to say Finemores... Without consulting my contact for the later chassis info

Gday Werk,
Here's what I justgot emailed-
"Was built for Roughan Haulage, probably as a semi-tipper.
Day cab, Hendrickson RT380 rear end, single 5" exhaust with 2 x 14" Cyclopacs and a 300 litre tank each side."
Theres's some clever people round ay?
So a quick google search brought up an old forum topic on Roughan Haulage, apparantly they used to be q resonably big outfit, running tippers.
The forum as always is a wealth of knowedge...
