Your better to die trying than live on your knees begging
Mud flaps was created by Mrsmackpaul
Am in Vic at the moment trying to get a trailer registered and the clowns doing the RWC are saying I need mud flaps in front of the trailer axles
I don't think this is the case as they have never been fitted from and the trailer still has its original mud guards
With out going into what we think feel or reckon about this can anyone point me in the right direction to find the actual rule and or diagram ?
The guards that are on the trailer have no holes in them at all as no flaps have ever been hung
The trailer is a old McGrath and was until dealing with these clowns pretty much as it left the factory
These old trailers in original condition are getting thin on the ground and once butchered are never original again
Thanks in advance for any leads on this

Thanks for the reply Swishy
I had found that things to Vic roads but I couldn't find any details about mud flaps as such
VicRoads used to have pictures of what was required
I can't find these pictures on Google
Anyway I guess if I can't find the paper work I will have to cop the rough end of the pineapple on this and butcher the guards

Can you show them some photos.
You're quite right, the front section was just that, a short flat metal guard with pressed lips on the edges.
The rears were much longer and had an extra strip spot welded across the bottom for the rubber flap to slot in.
The old man was in love with rubber flaps but even he drew the line at flaps on the front of guards.
Had nail sweeps between the axles though.

Swishy I couldn't get the link to work mate , thank you Browny and Swish man for trying
Jeff You are right about the guards on the front and the rear
Front guards are bent to almost 90 degrees up each side and along the top were it bolts to the trailer and a slight bend across the bottom edge
The stay for the front guard has a little bracket welded to it that a white reflector bolts to
The wankers have made me fill in above the rear guards to the tray and now the front guards are like Swiss cheese
Same wankers want me to drop the grease plate and check between the the chassis and the grade plate and have it sand blasted , if they had of actually had a look at the trailer they would see on a double rail McGrath trailer like this you can't get the bolts out unless start cutting rails apart
Anyway I guess this is what happens when in educated wankers are left running the show
My good old original trailer is no more
Same wankers reckon the brake drums are cattle trucked
I asked them did they pull the drums and check as I had them off the day before relinning the shoes and they were fine then
They reckon they could tell by just looking, how I dunno as there is a measurement cast into brake drums of 16 5/8's maximum diameter
So all in all I'm not real happy with these pricks
Rant over people's
