I am about to take procession of a Commer Superpoise. I was wondering if anyone out there has any info on them and if owners or worship manuals are available. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bob

This is the beast, drove it onto and off trailer. Couple of problems, no brakes and boils after about 3 minutes running. Now the fun begins, any advise appreciated.

Make sure you take out the radiator, and flush all the rust scale out before it gets jammed in the tubes.......get a USB camera off ebay, and look see if the tubes are blocked with scale....Boiling could be a blocked rad or thermostst ,scaled up waterjacket,or a blown /rusted out headgasket....Flush the block too,and check with the camera....Sidevalves often scale badly around the exhaust valves ,and the block will crack if you run like that.

Nice find Bob. I'm usually one for a complete restoration, but with your truck, I'd get it mechanically sound, clean it up and give it a coat of Satin clear. About as jealous as a man should be.

Do as John said, get the brakes working, get it roadwork hybrid and have some fun driving it, if you stop to do a resto it will take five time longer than planned and cost half a fortune.... she looks awesome, she goes already, so .... get on the road....

Good luck.

Flush radiator backwards, NOT top to bottom. Looks extremely straight and dent free, and original. Even the bumper bar looks dent free.. Not too sure about ANY clear coat, it always looks artificial, ( which it is). Lanoline is an excellent preservative, and doesn't look false. Good luck with your project.
