Bedford sb3 bus was created by Rai Rudzitis
My partner just purchased a 1966?
Allegedly Bedford freighter custom
The brakes need pumping a few times to get pedal. Have been bled and no change in pedal height. Thinking out of adjustment
Also where would the compliance
Plate be and chassis no.
How is the door operated by driver
Was it vacuum or electric originally. Any help appreciated

** On the backing plate of the drums there is a rubber bung. Remove it and you can see the gap between the shoes and the drum.

Becareful pumping the pedal. The master cyl' seals can tear on the rust inside the bore. Then it has to be overhauled.

*** Look on the chassis rail. Typically front left hand side. The compliance plates will/should be on the front left foot well.

*** Typically compressed air. There should be a air cylinder attached to the door.

The brakes are likely Girling wedge...........adjustment is simply turning the small squared spindle in ,and when nipped up,back off about 3 clicks.....Handbrake off ,of course.
