I got sick of installing $100 resleeved cylinders and have them leak fluid around the sleeve from poor workmanship .....you cant buy the thin stainless tube, but at one time bronze liners were used ,and I just get a couple of bronze bushes from the bearing co and use them......

I have contacted Lang's link to Master Cylinder Exchange at Wynumm to do the master cylinder and they think they can do it so I will give them a go.
I have another question. Mine is air over hydraulic so when I go to bleed the system do I have to have air up to the booster or can I bleed without the air up?

You can usually bleed with a huge push on the pedal but if it is one of those horse's a... Clayton Dewandre systems you might have trouble without the air. Probably better if you bleed with a vacuum pump from the wheel cylinders.
When you get them back from the brake place they will be fully kitted with new pistons and rubbers.
Here is a good kit for under $30

Unlike John's experience I have had maybe 50 cylinders, both wheel and master, done over the last 30 years and never had one moment's problem with any of them.

The only bloke I know who has had multiple problems with stainless sleeved cylinders also insists on using silicone fluid.
Good stuff, but it does seem to find its way out of things including through pressure type brake light switches.
Jarrod.

Mike,
Try the bloke in Bendigo. Bedigo Truck Wreckers? I got an exchange sleeved core from him and fitted the new seals myself.
Bleeding; do it with out air pressure. Gentle pushes; not all the way. Crack the rear union on the master first to flood the chamber, then the front.
The Clayton has a set of valves in the reservoir that somehow stop the fluid draining. I can't remember exactly how. But (from memory) if you tilt then from inside the reservoir, then the fluid can flood the chamber over night.
Edit: just remembered. They stop the back flow between reservoirs during the pedal being pressed or something.
I can email you the manual pages if needed.
Also, if getting an exchange, be careful to get the right one. The bore can be the same but the outlets are on the wrong side.

Sarge,
You're correct!
Midlands it is. Just looked at the receipt. $220 back in 2009 for a sleeved body.
Mike, part number H201-1R (F5) 1.750"
