DODGE D5N 400 with 245 chrysler engine was created by Abbuss
Hi Guys I am helping a bloke find a bell housing to fit a Perkins 6354 into his Dodge D5N 400 with 245 hemi in it at the moment.
Does anybody know what the 4 speed is in that truck please so we can work out the match. These attached photos are from the HCVC files. Thanks in advance.Steffan

The box is a New Process 4 sped made by Chrysler........catch with a Dodge Perkins 354 is a bit must be cut out of the firewall to fit the motor.......Reason for this ,is that unlike an Inter ,the Dodge has the radiator mounted behind the front panel,not inside it.

another difference is that the pilot bearing for the box is a bronze bush that has to fit inside tne Perkins crank.......not the flywheel where you might expect it to be a ball bearing.

Dodge Perkins housings are one piece ,and you will have to trek thru rocking horse **** to find one.......although Prices might be a clue.

Just saying but would it not be better to get the whole 5 speed outfit from an Inter? Or even better a 6 speed overdrive from a Commer?
