Air box drains back into crankcase make the oil filthy black in a few hours..................and,best slobber Ive ever seen was one of the Dennings with a 6v71.........parked at Sanctuary Cove with the engine at a fast idle for the air conditioning,the black pool was starting to run outside the outline of the bus......when the caretaker spotted it ,and told them to get off the property...........for those who havent been to Sanctuary Cove ,the roadway is paved with fancy brickwork in multi colours in white grout...........OR was.

If you take the airbox handhole covers off a running GM,you can see streams of black oil running down out of each liner port.......this is at idle,as the motor revs,the air blowing through the liner ports carries the oil into the cylinder ,where its burnt making the well known foul smelling brown "GM smoke"............ever been nehind a McCaffertys bus when it accelerates ?
