Greetings. Just had a quick look through Nev's Acco brochures- weights vary a bit, couldn't see a mention of double rail but for a 4 x 2 is 25000 to 27250 lbs and for 6 x 4 is 37000 lbs. It would have to vary a bit depending on engine- petrol or Greta's favorite- the diesel . That's about all I have, Pete

From the few brochures i have, the average tare weight of a single drive cab chassis is around 3.53 tonnes. This varies a bit depending on wheelbase, and what engine is fitted.

The rego papers for my Perkins powered single drive tipper state the tare as 4.8 tonnes.

Hi all. Learn something new every day , I had a acco when I was 19 and I thought it was d 1820 had a lazy fitted and 9metre tipper. Had a powerful Perkins and t 34 ? 5 speed (soon chucked that out and fitted a 16o and rt 610 and changed brakes to air made a great truck out of it at the time 84s were still running interstate pulling boogies spreads back to story) I always thought 1840 accos was boogies yet sarges is a 1840 ? Mine was getting close to end of them 1972 wish I still had it Kelvin
