Disco, is Modern tied up with Nationwide? probobly sounds like a silly question, but I'm a long way away.

Swishy, great faith in the Mack product?don't you mean Volvo product? Is history not going to repeat itself? Do you still see new White's? Do Volvo care about history or heritage?That and many more questions, but deep down we all know the answers.

Has Craig Carpenter still got something to do with Modern, I did a grass slashing job for him at a site in Boundary Road Laverton North back in 1999.

Welcome to the forum - that's a rare truck you have, RFWs exist only in pics for me, wasn't lucky enough to see one in person when I was downunder in 1986...

What's the diference between sticking your hands down your pants, or your pals seeing you in a Volvo?

You feel a bigger d*i*c*k when your pals see you in a Volvo.

As Leyland got nearer to oblivion the makers badging got bigger and bigger. Mack badges used to be small but in recent years they seem to be doing the same thing.

Old Bob would of been very happy that someone is going to restore a RFW (Patmans 6x2 - it's sister 8x2 on coil springs has been cut up a long time ago).
Im working on a photo tribute to RFW - Bob's creations. Any RFW - Permatrak info will be appriciated.

Trevor, Carpy still owns Modern towing, and now we're in Cherry lane , Jumbo p/m me ur address I've got lots of rfw literutre if u need it, Cam thats why u tint the windows on V#$^% so no one can c u drivin it, but on a serious note I thing I really need for the RFW is leads as to where I can get tie rod ends and king pins to suit a Kirkstal front axle
