Hi mentioned in a earlier post looking for transport from Grafton to Melbourne.
Well that all changed last Thursday. Rang a old mate at Illabo and said do you want have a look at a White truck and the answer was yes.
Left Melbourne Thursday afternoon arrived at Illbo late evening a few drinks to bed ( seprataly )
Next morning leave heading north longest trip under his directions.
Now to the point inspected the beast further disscusions purchase done.
So the mate leaves in the truck I finish the deal.
So the real trip starts ( Have NSW permit Vic permit and a current log book ) All is well stop for fuel at Coff's won't start jumper leads purchased hooked to support vehicle and started old mate complains of cabinheat but saddles up for next stint anyway.
Just before Kempsey notice mufflers starting look at strange angle no go good phoning as in phone is inaudable dew to Scearmin GM so do drive by and wave down to stop at next service centre. Pulled in parked under canopy for verdict. Lots of people takeing photos and wanting to chat and offering assitance. (Will continue tomorrew or to be continued)

Well continue the story
Could not do much with mufflers but managed to get flex pipe over engine pipe an tek screw together only 30 odd k's to go to Taree.
Arrived to be welcome buy cold refreshments whilst reviewing the task at hand.
Our host decided to remove previous muffler brackets and construct out new ones of RHS all welded up (Looks and worked a treat)
Place batteries on charge
Now to the engine pipe removed tek screws and found some nice clamps. All :)is well
Tidy up and out for night not worrying about the early start.
Down to work shop 6am check oil water have coffee, start goodbye go to start still as if flat batteries remove batteries from race cars jump start all well. Finish formalities and leave. Out on the way just up to cruise (80 KPH ) notice change in exhaust , look in mirror an flex engine pipe rolling down Princess HWY. (Thinking tek screw were the better option).
End of flex damage and now to short so extent engine pipe and rough well the lot together.
Say good bye again and proceed with caution at cruising speed (80 KPH ). About hour in to trip stop and get fuel day is still not to hot but cabin cargo says this is not for him. Pass two heavy vehivle checking stations not open thankfully. On in to Sydney miss freeway entry nothing unusual there find turn around and of we go again even managed to pass a couple of things, pulling into fast lane interesting concept at our warp speed. Got presented with the one finger salute couple of times. But look at them and smiled back with a bit of a laugh. To one unfortunate could see the funny side and decide from the passenger seat sit beside yelling abusive fist shaking of course I can't even hear over the screammer. This was all well me laughing as the traffic built up behind, then he looked the DICK.
Any way passed by police cars none stopped. Cabin temp is that of a sauna.
Another heavy station check sign says open here we go drive in directed back to highway just love that luck
In to Sydney hate their traffic just want to get to M7 on freeway all is well. Running out of time on log and trip plan.
Stop at Pheasants nest. Driver change off down freeway again think should just make Illabo on time. Take Harden turn off across to Olimpic hwy. Three more police cars all with cars pulled up. Good luck through Coota on to Overnight getting dark only 30 k's to go looking mirror here comes the flashing lights so both vehicles put on indicators straight passed breath relief. All well. Next day old needs oil a little only head of again rest of trip pretty uneventfull plenty of police but none bother us thinking that this old girl painted in Stealth paint. Arrived home to find oil leak but will look at that and so the project begins
