Tropical Cyclone Yasi

Just a heads up for those forum members in Queensland.
I may be jumpin the gun here but thort I should give you all a bit of a heads up.
Tropical cyclone yasi is bloody massive and heading for QLD.

I dont wish to be an alarmist but those who live in QLD should consider the possible impact on their homes and businesses.
Better safe than sorry.

Been watching Cyclone Anthony duck underneath us (Townsville) and now slamming into Bowen the next one coming

Certainly does Ian.
Looks at this stage and it is early days yet that it will hit around Innisfail. This system while not as intense is quite a lot bigger than Larry was.
If you know anyone that might need a heads up please put the word out, specially those with medical needs. Undoubtedly our goat track will be cut by flood waters again so stock up while ya can.

Just had a look at the forecast track map this morning. I live just south of Cairns and the forecast shows us right smack bang in the middle of it all.
Could be a wild few days me thinks.
