Howdy All, The first picture is of my Grandfathers family business. W.A Frearson & Co. They were also International Harvester and Plume fuel agents.
The truck is a 1923 Model 33 Inter.
The second picture is at the back of the shop a few years later. Truck on right is a Reo Speedwagon with my grandfather standing along side. The second truck is an Inter S36.

Swishy,

W.A Frearson were in a little joint called Tammin here in WA. I spent some of my childhood there and the rest up north near Wittenoom in the Pilbura.
Not much left of Tammin now.

What an awsome heritage photo to have for your family, the first one is of the style so often painted, prinyed and sold a thousand times over these days.

well done

A little more trivial information on my grandfathers business. He from time to time had a dinner gueast at home...Charles Kingsford Smith and Charles Ulm.
They became friends and always had a beer or six and a meal together when he stopped to refuel.
They refuelled him at the Tammin aerodrome back then as well as another not so known pilot Amy Johnson.
All aero fuel was in square 4 gallon tins stored in a big shed in town and carted out on a flat bed to the aerodrome. 8-)

Filling an aircraft from four gallon tins would have been fun.

I'll have to check for a mention in my Smithy book, Baz. Amy Johnson not as well known?! :D Well, I guess no one is compared to Smithy but...
