Sure you fueled at a diesel pump and not at Avalon? Did you want to get to Dubbo in super quick time?

Maybe a little water was involved do you reckon?
Had a piston look a little like that when a 'hairline crack developed in the inlet port just behind the inlet valve.
Once it got up to temperature the crack opened just enough to allow water into the mix.

That actually looks very much like detention the way that the top of the piston has been belted down

ahhh Bugly,
not real sure about the gudgeon pin either......all that tunnelling thru the piston by the obviously overfuelled injector creates a lot of molten piston material that has to go somewhere, surely the gudgeon copped its fair share.
actually if you look at the pin bore there's bits broken away, probably from when they bashed the pin out.

chocs I distinctly remember telling you not to put that 444 button in the fuel pump!!! :-X

maybe detention WAS the right word ;)

Surely just the button wouldn't do that? :-/
There was only 34 pound of boost, so it couldn't have been that..
Might have been some crook fuel that Stuey tipped in it..
Come to think of it, it did smell funny? :-/

Be interesting to see if it does it again?
