All the ones which I know are too long. It appears to be fairly tidal (more so than Victoria). IIRC Lang is a Queenslander.
The quiz version appears to have trolley tracks, but not pedestrian decking. That would make it a fishing jetty.
We do seem to be looking across a bay.
Metal piers, not wooden.
No helpful vegetation.
When Lang was 9 there was no road to Cooktown.
I'm still lost: no entry.

If the grey matter is still working, the last time this pic surfaced it was in a post on travelling adventures of his younger days.
