I think I have seen photos of this phone box, is it Rabbit Flat?

I'll call Mairjimmy the winner as he got closest.

I knew it'd be a hard one, and there's not much more that I can give in the way of clues. There's not bloody much out there!

It's an emergency phone at Well 33 on the Canning Stock Route (runs from Wiluna to Halls Creek), where the Wapet rd crosses from the west, and the Gary Junction rd from the east. It is near the Kunawarritji community which in the 1990s was still very isolated and didn't wish visitors. However as they had a phone service, Telstra also ran a line out to the CSR.

Nowadays the community welcomes visitors and sell fuel and other stuff (last I heard diesel was abt $3.50/litre.)

As the crow flies it is 481 km from Nullagine (Mairjimmy's guess) but 531 km from Newman (Roderick) and 597 km from Rabbit Flat (Oxfury.)

Someone else jump in with a photo as l do not have any at the moment.

I will jump in, having been within 500 km of the previous challenge.
I'm also wanting to use this photo for a different group, where it will be captioned (and cleaned).
AFAIK it is last of my ready to roll quiz photos on the hard drive.
