Hi,

I am thinking a pipe or cable that is travelling vertically and the pictured device is sitting on the wheels allowing it to rotating as it cleans.

I am thinking off something might be cleaning the mud/dirt off a drilling or boring pipe.

I don't know what it is either but the thing to its left is a book press.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,

Reckon its made to clean dirt/gunk/grease off steel cables, like old dragline cables or similar ?? :)

Apparently was used in the mining industry and was used for cleaning cables They were drawn through it and the rollers ran in oil bath.
