I did refer this to an aviation group because of its dual interest. So far, the only respondent corroborates the P40, but gave no id on the rear aircraft. He stated 'USA markings, c1941'. He feels that the site is in USA, not in a theatre of war.

Googling brings up an interesting article on the P40, by an author who believes fervently that the type was maligned unnecessarily.

How come when ever I reply to any post I get jumped on! Especially when you consider I end up having to be the bad guy all the time! Had enough of having to justify everything!

It is not my forum. It is every ones forum. And at the end of the day it is hosted and sponsered by the Historic commercial vehicle club of Australia. And anything that is posted on it can reflect on our club and the vintage commercial vehicle movement hence the importance of keeping everything on the right side of the law and decency.

If a question is asked people are going to try and find the answer. And the internet and google provide the easy solution to it. Yes it may not be in the spirit that you intended but you also cannot stop it from happening!

So either take it easy or like you indicate you know what you can do!
