The Hendrickson story began in 1913 with the founding of The Hendrickson Motor Truck Company by inventor and businessman Magnus Hendrickson. This small Chicago-based manufacturing company built trucks often equipped with cranes, which were used to haul stone and other building materials.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
I have spent days trying to remember the name of a magnificent 1928 truck that was for sale at Murray bridge in South Australia about forty years ago. I had to leave it, as it needed too much work for my almost non-existent skills. I think it must have been a BROCKWAY. It had headlights like the one pictured and the upright cylinders in front of the front suspension are Gruss brand "Air Springs." It originally had a bus body owned by the Adelaide Tramways board. It spent the last years of its working life with a tray on the front half of the chassis (behind the cab) and a drilling rig on the rear, and drilled water wells in the Coorong area of SA.
The tramways had one Brockway and a 1929 bus of a different make, but very similar. That one is/was in the Tram Museum at Saint Kilda beach outside Adelaide.
If that answer is not good enough for a beer from my very own fridge could I please have a glass of red wine from my very own cupboard, as it is a very cold, wet and windy day here for the first day of summer?

Ta, Swishy.
Is it a Brockway? built on a bus chassis for lower loading height and probably softer springs?
