Can anyone confirm if a 10.00 X20" tyre will fit on a 7" rim?

From the Dunlop brochure recommended rim for 10.00r20 is 7.5 or 8.00. 7' rims are recommended for 9.00R20. and 8.25R20
Wouldn't be much difference between radial and rags as far as rim spec goes. In the days before 10.00 became cheaper and therefore pretty well standard 9.00 size was by far the more common on trailers and stuff like Inters & Dodges

Mammoth,
It was great to meet up with you and r model steve last weekend and thanks for the info regarding the tyres.

I would like to put tubless rims on it but I will need a special offset rim to elimate fouling of the U bolts on the rear and steering arm on left lock.

If you already have trouble with not much room putting the 10.00 on 7" rims is not going to help as you will have a lot more tyre buldge.

FWIW
We have a Fruehauf extendable semi
it is on 7" rims on (spider/spoke wheel hubs)
coz any wider, the tyre walls rub on trailer subframe
all the tyres R 1000x20 on 7" rims
been like th@ for many years

With disc wheels you have to look at the offset, as well as the width. I compared wheels on my Dodge with IH ones, the Dodge ones had more offset. It can be measured by placing a straightedge across the rim and measuring distance across to the face on the hub side.

Thanks everyone for your replies so far . I will try to find a couple of 10.00's to put on and give it a go. I hopefully can find a couple with tubes as well.

Are 10.00's easy to get these days?

Failing that I either stick with the 9.00's or go and find some special off set tubeless.
