Fargo Truck-Brake parts wanted

Hi all, I finally got round to my Fargo truck restoration project.http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/zz218/Justin_Murray/Fargo/Fargo1.jpg?t=1282797653http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/zz218/Justin_Murray/Fargo/fargo.jpg?t=1282797653
The truck has only done 16000 miles from new, The farmer who owned the property next to grand dad's place bought it new and only used it for the 20 mile trip to town every few weeks, and a bit of farm work, my Dad remembers it from when he was young, he told me the bloke who owned it was a real grease fanatic also! So I'm the second owner :) It still had the very tame porn mag in the glove box :P.
The engine ticks over like a clock and there is only slight rust in the front grill and "U" section that cradle's the radiator.
Anyway, what I'm chasing is a set of replacement brake shoes and all the rubbers and hose's for the brakes.
Any advise much apreciated
Thanks
Justin

Well done mate. If you go to a brake place they can make new hoses for you no worries, they can also reline the shoes, I'd take the drums in as well and get them skimmed, it's pretty cheap, and you've got a chance it might stop in a straight line.

Looks similar vintage to my Dodge see www.flickr.com/photos/46046969@N03/4915939130/in/photostream/
which is a 52 model. The shoes and drums on mine were still good but had to get the master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake lines done.

Hi there Swishy
I plan to get it going as original as possible to use at local markets, selling furniture n other stuff I fix/recondition.
Its kinda crying out for a V8 though, the way the bonnet opens, Chrome stacks up the back of the cab ect. My dream would be a V8 diesel running bio-diesel, It would fit with my business plan, recycled wood furniture.
A funny story-A friend of mine in Wales, UK, had a steam engine powered workshop, I was impressed, until he offered to fire it up and show me it all running! He chucked a few old gum boots and cut up bits of car tyres into the boiler and filled the valley with black smoke!
I guess it's still recycling tho! :-?

I dont mind the old flathead six, think it has a place in history and will not replace it unless major problems.
If you have plenty of spare wood what about a charcoal burner like they used during the war.
