Where can I buy a KB3 workshop manual?
Before I disturb the rear main, can someone tell whether there is a crank shaft seal or is there an oil slinger? If there is a seal, do you know where I can get one?
Thanks

Hi KB3,
The green diamond in my KS5 has a two piece rope type seal.
I used gland packing rope normally used on water pumps when I did mine. Got it from an industrial pump repair place.
Get it out and take it with you.
When you put the halves in place put a .003" feeler gauge next to it and use a new razor blade across the feeler gauge to trim it nice and clean so the the rope is .003" proud of the casting. Pre oil it also before bolting it all back together.
Basil

I know it's not really what your looking for but it's better than nothing.
Workshop manuals for Inters seem to be getting very hard to get now days so I tend to grab anything that comes close just so I can reference against it.
This is on Ebay at the moment.

Basil,
Thanks for the info. There is a hole on either side of the bearing cap about 3/8" diameter that goes up to the block. Are these the seals you are talking about?
Did you notice whether there was an oil slinger on the crank shaft?
Thanks again
