Re S180 or AS180.
The truck in the photo has a two piece rear window and seems to have concealed door hinges. My research suggests this is an Australian built cab. American built S Series cabs had a one piece rear window and external door hinges.
(See International Truck. Color History by Tom Brownell and Patrick W. Ertel).
Re the badge. I have an AR182 (as shown on the ID plate on the firewall of the Australian style cab) but it has an R180 badge on the side. Maybe IH Australia thought the number of 180 series Australian built trucks sold here at that time did not justify the making of AR180 or AS180 badges.
Geoff.

I think in the 'AS' Series, the SF174 was the only model that deleted the 'A' prefix. It may have been a full import as it was fitted with the American Black Diamond 282.
The AS180 had an Australian Black Diamond 264, as well as:-
ABD264 Black Diamond Tilt Valve.
ABD282 Blue Diamond Tilt Valve.
Perkins R6 Diesel.

Even if the Inter has an Aussie cab, it doesn't necessarily became an AS. They had to have a certain percentage of Aussie content to get the A.
