Chevy lorry was created by MR-BG
Photographed this Chevy lorry at a farm shop outlet near Mornington Vic. Now on club permit but has the old registration number on a sticker on the drivers window. 08442H - GAO235.
How old would the vehicle be please?

I don't know anything about Australian registration numbers, but that model Chevy came out in 1947 and was in production with very few changes for 4 or 5 years after that.

This one has the Advance Design cab which went from 1947 to 1955 first series, but this one looks like it could be from 1947 to 1953 as 1954 models had a different grill, as for the rego number seems like it might have to many letters as the original rego on my 52 model only had two letters and three numbers, could have been registered at some time latter

Can't argue with that, never seen one those before, although I do remember being with my Dad delivering a tractor to Bendigo on a tandem trailer behind a HT Holden ute and the inspectors pulled us up went over us with a fine tooth comb couldn't find a thing wrong weren't real happy, kept there for an hour

...She would be a late 1952, or early 1953 model Chev. The last of the FX Holdens had the GAA... rego from early 1953.
