FSP 007, the F700 of Mayne Nicks, I reckon was still doing yard and local duties at the Jetspress yard, Burrows Rd St. Peters at least up until the very late 80's. 265 V8 with a Quad box , ex Syd-Perth runner. Had the steering box on the left hand chassis rail and the chain in a box affair over to the normal driving position, used to get the wanders a bit. Pretty sure its the same truck.

Paul,
I just wanted to say thank you for the photos- they are like a trip through childhood memory lane..
It's just great seeing old these old jiggers, when just about anything was an interstater.
Always look forward to your posts, and the comments that go along with them.
Thanks mate,
Rich

Credit goes to Overlander, Rich.
I enjoy the pic's too and just put them up on here
as he sends them on. He has an extensive collection.
Important record of trucks from that era, as they
went about their work. Enjoy, Paul.

Latest batch shows a MAN rigid in 4 wheeler configuration in Jetaways livery, weren't they the mob who also ran the twin steer single drives of same make?

Greetings. The Kenworth at the start of the last batch was a V De-Poi. Looks like a load of GMH boxes and that one was taken at the Gawler By-pass servo - spent a bit of time hanging around there with Nifty living in hope a truck would stop so we could get a photo. The two 1418's were Walter R Stanley's, forget who's Acco it was, then John Pulcin's M A N, Schrapel's 4564- I think that one had the 6-71T in it. . Toohey's 14215FCS M A N was taken in Sydney [ of course], the 'F' model was a C & J Millar, the 9230NC M A N was a D K McGlashan, one of Robinvale's 4564's and then the Jetaway 8160FC M A N which was taken in Sydney on one of my school holiday trips. I'm not completely sure but I think Jetaway was tied in with IPEC. Enjoy.
