An example is of Tom Humphries who owned Daly Waters hotel and used to come down and cart his own beer, rolled at the dipper.

Stapleton Creek, all bridges were narrow, road not much wider!!!

Warloch Ponds bridge, some one got a bit close to the right hand side and peeled the railing back.

And finaly our destination, our favourite watering hole, my ex-army Indian motorcycle be the curb that I used while in town, go anywhere, wish I had it now.

Our blundering government has got it wrong yet again


Whilst I'm not a subscriber to the current Govt, they aren't the ones to blame for the current Living Treasure awards.

Run by National Trust of Australia (NSW) in association with Woman's Day magazine

RH might undoubtedly be a worthy recipient, however the Awards themselves have now been severely devalued by the latest appointments (or one in particular) :(

Thank you all for your kind remarks, made an old mans day, hopefully your comments will help produce some other older truckies to put their stories on the forum, must be lot's out there that are really interesting to read, as against books that play a little with the facts, let's hope we hear from them, going to add a few more pics to finish off, thanks again, Ron. ;D :-? :) :) :)
