Some nice old Albions there werkhorse, the one carting cars would be a FT101 Cyldesdale with 4 cylinder Albion EN286, or EN287 motor, although I think there was also a PF101 model with Leyland 350. The bogged one is a much bigger HD53 model with 6 cylinder Albion EN253 motor. The white AEC going through the water would probably be a GM4R type Monarch with AV410 or AV470 motor with Hastings Deering cab. Great photos, thanks for putting them up.

I just can't get enough of these old pics, I reckon they are simply fantastic.
Ray's first book was a better read, in my humble opinion.. Well written and very funny, he must be a real character. I've loaned it to everyone, even my mum thought it was great!
The second was also good, but I guess it seemed a little more superficial?
But still a great read, well worth buying.

g'day all, just finished reading Ray's book, very enjoyable reading. It shows how tough and resourceful these blokes were, no service vans to call to fix things just fix it yourself. Werkhorse i am looking for his first book if you could help. many thanks.
